Margaret was born on August 21st, 1910 in NY,NY.  Margaret's father is Alexander Carswell and her mother was Sara McCaughan.  Her maternal grandfather was Samuel McCaughan and her maternal grandmother is Matilda Kirkpatrick. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Alexander, William, Robert, Fredrick, Florence and Muriel.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 60 in November 1970 in Bristol TN.
