John was born on April 7th, 1865 in TX.  John's father was Michael Fox and his mother was Mary Chambliss (Fox).  His paternal grandparents were Francis Fox and Wife Unknown (Fox). He had eight brothers and two sisters, named William, Oscar, Mac, James, Fred, Louis, Daniel, Robert, Martha and Mary.  He was the oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 74 in 1939 in TX.
