Peter was born on April 16th, 1881 in Live Oak Co, Texas.  Peter's father was Augustus Sanders Goynes and his mother was Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes).  His maternal grandparents were William McMurray and Bridget Elizabeth Fox (McMurray). He had four brothers and five sisters, named William, William, Daniel, Lee, Margaret, Dot, Viola, Nellie and Nettie.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 60 in 1941 in TX.
