Viola was born on May 7th, 1879 in Live Oak Co Texas.  Viola's father was Augustus Sanders Goynes and her mother was Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes).  Her maternal grandparents were William McMurray and Bridget Elizabeth Fox (McMurray). She had five brothers and four sisters, named William, Peter, William, Daniel, Lee, Margaret, Dot, Nellie and Nettie.  She was the fourth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 57 on February 8th, 1937 in Live Oak, TX.  She was buried in Gussettville, Live Oak Co Texas.
