William was born on November 8th, 1877 in Live Oak Co Texas.  William's father was Augustus Sanders Goynes and his mother was Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes).  His maternal grandparents were William McMurray and Bridget Elizabeth Fox (McMurray). He had four brothers and five sisters, named Peter, William, Daniel, Lee, Margaret, Dot, Viola, Nellie and Nettie.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at just 4 days old on November 12th, 1877 in Live Oak, TX.  He was buried in Goynes Cem Live Oak TX.
