William was born on May 9th, 1883 in Live Oak Co Texas.  William's father was Augustus Sanders Goynes and his mother was Ellen Elizabeth McMurray (Goynes).  His maternal grandparents were William McMurray and Bridget Elizabeth Fox (McMurray). He had four brothers and five sisters, named William, Peter, Daniel, Lee, Margaret, Dot, Viola, Nellie and Nettie.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 69 on November 26th, 1952 in Live Oak, TX.  He was buried in Gussettville, Live Oak Co Texas.
